3 Affordable Days
Have you ever noticed that in the Hemisphere's
magazine, the "3 Perfect Days" information is
nice reading, if you earn the salary of a corporate CEO.
So we decided to build "3 Affordable days".
Each month we will focus on a different destination and
ask for your help in sharing your experience with other
Villagers.

Friday night fireworks on the beach about an hour
after sunset.

(Closed Mondays)
Iolani Palace - If time
does not permit waiting for the paid tour
reservations, a free film is shown past the ticket
counter. Gift shop across from film has
inexpensive historical postcards not available
elsewhere. Free Band concert at noon Fridays.
Sheraton Moana Surfrider -
Celebrating 100 years in 2001. A small museum
room is on the second floor at the top of the glass
doors to the room are opened. Free 1 hour
historical tours are available daily 11A and 515PM at
the concierge desk.
CHEAPEST TRANSPORTATION:
The Bus - 4 day pass for
$10, sold at ABC Stores. Free bus schedules are
available in racks at McDonalds, 2164 Kalia near Beach
Walk and McDonalds 2476 Kalakaua.
CHEAPER TRANSPORTATION
AIRPORT/WAIKIKI: Instead of taking the bus
outside baggage claim, get a coupon out of a THIS WEEK
and use a pay phone. Depending on your
group size, a van, taxi or limo coupon rate will be
cheaper and more direct than the monopoly bus.
BEST MAP: The phone
book on all islands.
BEST PLACE TO WAIT FOR A
COUPLE OF HOURS AT THE AIRPORT: The garden in
the triangle area at the center of the terminal
building, near the Aero Space Museum
CHEAPER ROOMS: Some
buildings on Ala Wai have much better views than those
closer to the beach. The canal, golf course,
mountains and Diamond Head can provide spectacular
views.
